Mobile internet use is rapidly increasing in Switzerland – and apps play a major part in this. Current figures show that 85% of those surveyed use a smartphone or tablet for mobile surfing – and more than half use their smartphone to access the internet more frequently than they do a desktop. The majority of time online is spent using apps – only 10% of it is spent in mobile browsers.
