Zurich, September 13, 2020– The creative agency Wirz and Webrepublic, an expert in digital marketing, are entering into a cooperation and will, in the future, offer access to around 400 specialists with a joint offer. The added value for brands, and especially for their customers is communication that dovetails emotion and data right from the start.

Wirz is the first address for large, popular campaigns for clients such as Migros, Schweiz Tourismus, Suva, and Swisscom and creates ideas that surprise and touch – like the Christmas elf Finn. Webrepublic plans and manages complex digital communication on a grand scale: during the World Cup in Russia, the agency was responsible for FIFA's largest communication offensive ever played out from Switzerland. Now the two leaders are dovetailing their creative and digital skills under the name BoB (“Best of Both”). 

With the decision to offer a joint service portfolio in the future – without a merger or takeover – the two companies are swimming against the current. It is an unconventional response to the consolidated Swiss market and the current economic situation. Considering the rapidly growing and increasingly diverse customer needs and the international trend toward a close integration of creation and media, the advantages of a partnership between two established market sizes are obvious.

Even during the first informal talks, it became clear that both parties share a common understanding of effective communication: when creativity and technology, emotion and data, work together perfectly, advertising not only reaches people at their hearts, but picks them up and works for their needs. The practically complementary service profiles of Wirz and Webrepublic made the cooperation possible. Through the exclusive partnership, the owner-managed companies can use each other's services and offer them to existing and new customers. The cooperation is regulated in an non-bureaucratically drafted contract. There is no plan for an exchange of shares or a merger.
